Here is a sampling of YCBC’s initiatives

Britannia Elementary School

In working with the school, YCBC ran a food drive for Britannia Elementary School, Vancouver, BC. Collaborating with the school was an important factor given because the food donations needed to be ready to eat.

In addition to obtaining corporate sponsors, YCBC ran a traditional food collection, providing detailed explanation to donors on the requested food items, ensuring little waste.

Family Services, North Shore

We have partnered with Family Services (North Shore) to assist with their Meal Delivery Program. The Meal Delivery Program ensures vulnerable seniors in need receive a hot pre-made meal each week. Our mandate is to source nonperishable food items. Family Services has approximately 200 families each month who come through for food resources.
